That‘ll Preach - Ep. 06 | Getting Out of Greed (Tallahassee Vice Series)
Tuesday Jun 16, 2020
Tuesday Jun 16, 2020
Bryan and Paul tackle the touchy subject of money. It is difficult for all of us in a consumeristic culture to part with our stuff. We feel like we never have enough money and as a result rarely consider whether we need to be generous. How do we break this? How do we have money without letting money have us? How do we use money to love people rather than using people to love money? Find out in this week's episode!

Does Jesus actually expect us to succeed in the Great Commission? Will God's kingdom be a few people huddled in a corner, or a massive sea of worshippers from every tongue, tribe, and nation? Revelation gives us hope for our call as the church to preach the gospel. Despite how things may seem, God's kingdom will advance across cultures and people groups to the ends of the earth.

Teaching | Revelation Revealed Myth #4: It‘s All About You and Jesus
Friday Jun 05, 2020

It's common to limit the Christian life just to your personal devotions with God. Those are important, but they are only part of the picture. We are called to be part of Christ's church, his bride, not just in theory, but in practice in the local church. If we love Jesus we will love his church. We will also listen to Jesus when he corrects where we've gone wrong. In Revelation 2-3, the Spirit of God convicts the church of sin and shows her the path of repentance so that she might continue to serve him faithfully. We will find that the first century and the twenty-first century feature similar problems and solutions. Our generation loves to dream about changing the world, but the biggest change starts locally with real people, in a real place, with real problems, in the real local church.
